Here at City Surveys our commitment to society goes above and beyond delivering a first class service. We’re firm believers in giving back to the communities in which we live and work.
As a result, we’re keen supporters of a number of local and national causes that are close to our hearts and those of our team. From sponsoring a number of local youth football teams to supporting individual members of staff taking part in charitable events, we support good causes, not only financially, but also with our time.
Whilst we’ve included a small amount of information on this page, for more information on our work in the community check out our latest news.
One of our two nominated charities for 2016, Railway Children is a truly incredible organisation dedicated to providing protection and opportunities for children who have nowhere else to go.
Every single year, countless thousands of children across the UK, Africa and India either run away or are forced to leave their homes; homes that have become simply unbearable due to hunger, poverty, violence or neglect.
Railway Children do amazing work with vulnerable children such as these, aiming to stop the cycle of abuse into which they can so easily become entrenched.
Prostate Cancer UK
Whilst City Surveys is a thoroughly diverse organisation and a genuine equal opportunities employer, there’s no hiding the fact that engineering and construction in general is a male-dominated field. Too many of us have felt the impact of cancer upon our colleagues, friends and families with prostate cancer sadly being particularly common within our industry.
Prostate Cancer UK has a single aim – to put an end to men dying of prostate cancer, an admirable goal and one that we’re only too happy to support. You can find more about Prostate Cancer UK on their website.
N.E.W. Atletico F.C.
We’re proud to sponsor Atletico FC, a local community youth organisation who play in the Wallasey Junior Football League. Made up of two teams (Under 9s and Under 11s), the club was formed in 2014 by a group of parents who wanted to have more of a direct say in how their children’s football teams were run.
Atletico does fantastic work in the local community, bringing together children from fourteen different primary schools across the county, keeping their children both active and healthy. Whilst only a small organisation, Atletico perfectly embody City Surveys’ belief that healthy, motivated and empowered children are the future of our society.
Formed in 1996 and celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, Telegraph F.C. are an adult team currently playing in the second division of the Birkenhad Sunday League. City Surveys first started sponsoring the team at the suggestion of one of our lead site engineers, now a project manager for one of our clients, Buckingham Group. Since that time, however, the club has gone from strength to strength! We’re proud to be their main sponsor.
