Ground Investigation
Today more than ever the major players in construction and engineering are focusing on health, safety and managing risk. So that our clients ensure a positive and safe and legal outcome to their projects, we deliver a ground risk management service that is second to none.
Our clients regularly benefit from our ‘turn-key’ approach to ground investigation, a service that covers everything from initial investigation to site engineering services during construction (setting-out of earthworks, foundations, formwork and structures etc).
Geotechnical Engineering
Failing to manage the risk on site by evaluating ground conditions or the behaviour of materials poses the single greatest threat to the progression and budget of any project. We work alongside our clients to mitigate these risks and keep each and every job on track.
Land Contamination Consultancy
Failing to adequately investigate a site’s contamination status can frequently result in hidden costs. Our specialist consultancy allows clients to assess and control land contamination, manage their potential liabilities and fulfil their regulatory obligations.
Site Investigation
Desk studies precede cable percussion boreholes, rotary boring, driven window sampler boreholes and vacuum excavation methods. Merely a sample of the services we provide, all of these are supported by our laboratory testing capabilities.
Laboratory Testing
Our laboratory service delivers a range of testing services covering the entire project cycle including construction materials, soil testing, pile testing and earthworks. Laboratory testing can be employed in isolation or in combination with our other GI services.
Flood Risk Assessment
With a large amount of the country at risk from flooding, the planning process in such areas has become understandably more restrictive. A flood risk assessment uses measured topographic information to assess the risk of flooding under specified conditions. We keep our clients on-side with the Environment Agency and provide in-depth and constructive advice to manage risk effectively. Do you need an assessment? You will if your site is in a flood zone or is over 1ha.
