Railway Surveyors
City Surveys & Monitoring’ railway surveyors are working on high profile rail projects right across the UK, usually 365 days a year. As part of a Link-up approved company, these highly-skilled railway surveyors can dramatically lower expenditure and eliminate inconvenience for the client.
Our substantial team of railway surveyors has vast experience of working for organisations such as BAM Nuttall, Balfour Beatty Rail, Birse and Network Rail. As a result they bring a wealth of knowledge and rail know-how to every job and prove an invaluable asset to the client. Whilst all of our surveyors are PTS qualified, we also employ a number of safety critical staff holding tickets such as COSS, Lookout, Engineering Supervisor and Site Warden. This brings both added convenience and substantial cost savings to our Clients’ projects.
City Surveys & Monitoring has extensive experience surveying all aspects of the railway infrastructure. From depots and OLE structures, to embankments, platforms, station buildings, complex S&C and simple plain line, your project could not be in better hands.
Not satisfied with simply employing top quality railway surveyors, City Surveys & Monitoring regularly invests both time and money in the very latest training and equipment to further bolster the quality and accuracy of our rail surveys. Constant upgrades of both kit and methodology paired with tried and true traditional processes lead to maximum productivity and precision, improved safety for all involved and a considerably shorter delivery time for our clients.
As an added benefit, not only are our railway surveyors certified to work on Network Rail property, they are also qualified to work on the LUL (London Underground) and DLR (Docklands Light Railway) networks.
Tramway Surveys
Unlike many of our competitors City Surveys & Monitoring has considerable experience working on tramways throughout the UK with projects ranging from the Croydon Tram to the Manchester Metrolink. As such we have an intimate knowledge of the subtleties of tramway surveys that many railway surveyors simply will not have.
In partnership with some of the UK’s premier survey technology firms, we have recently developed a unique trolley-mounted instrument that, whilst moving at walking pace, is able to accurately calculate rail head wear throughout an entire rail network, be it p-way or tram. A revolution in rail surveying technology, it is proving especially valuable to the UK’s tram authorities.
Whilst our offices are based in Liverpool, our engineering surveyors operate throughout the UK.
